Orange County is included in the Los Angeles Anaheim Metropolitan Statistical Area The county has 34 incorporated cities. Older cities like Santa Ana, Anaheim, Orange, and Fullerton have traditional downtowns dating back to the 19th century, while newer commercial development or "edge cities< The county is a tourist center, with attractions like Knott's Berry Farm, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Modjeska House, Yost Theater, Balboa Island, Angel Stadium, Crystal Cove State Park, Honda Center, and several popular beaches along its more than 40 miles (64 km) of coastline, and Santa Ana and between South Coast Plaza and the Irvine Business Complex, and cluster at Irvine Spectrum.

Favorite Local Spots

So many to name as this is a vast area. Most notable is Disneyland, Newport Coast, Laguna Beach, Balboa Island and Angle's Stadium. There are countless restaurants and so much to do. You could spend a week in this area and not cover all that it offers.

COMMUTE

Travel time to Downtown Los Angeles is about 45 minutes to an hour depending on where in Orange County you are.

WEATHER

Beach weather mostly.

With highs between 60-85 depending

on the time of year. More inland can be warmer in summer months.

HIKING

There are upwards of 30 hiking trails in Orange County. Beach hiking, trail hiking, dog trails, mountain trails,

the options are endless.

BIKING

All the beach cities, and most all of the inland cities offer bike trails. It is a popular way to get around in Orange County.

BOUTIQUE SHOPPING

Some of the best shopping can be found at Fashion Island's outdoor mall. There is boutique shopping on Balboa Island and in Laguna Beach as well as Fullerton and of course major shopping at the Irvine Spectrum.
